MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!

Can you believe it? Christmas is already here!!! I am soooo excited.... sick..... but excited. Yah you heard me. Mom and I have the cold....bummer eh? Anyways I was working last night and this guy comes in with a box. There were two rabbits in it! He set it down right on the counter by the sandwiche bar. When I looked over he was holding this poor bunny by the scruff of its neck! Then I realized there were two bunnies in the box. And then all of a sudden he's taking guinea pigs out of his pockets! Right in the middle of Tim Hortons! He said that he breeds them as well as chinchillas (I want one sooooo bad!), ferrets, goats, and chickens. He's got like 96 baby goats, or so someone I work with told me. She called him goat guy. It was pretty funny. Anyways this guy is like "Wanna hold one?" to my supervisor and was like you have to come out here and hold it and then wash your hands. But she said she couldn't do that. So randomly halfway through my shift this guy is trying to sell us baby rabbits and guinea pigs and ferrets and chinchillas and goats and chickens! I told Dad I bought three.. hehe. Anyways I just thought that I would update for all you people who read this thing!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Love Jess

Hey Y'all....

Well its almost Christmas and I'm SO excited!!! I finally got dad to put up some christmas lights today, even though its just flood lights and one tree. I couldn't bug any farther. I was lucky I got that. I was supposed to have a riding lesson tonight but my instructors water maine broke so he is stuck fixing that. I get to work on Friday 4-10 but then I don't work til the 27th 6-3. What a brutal time to wake up!! Nothing much to say here since nothing new has really happened. I failed my first big test, if thats anything to be proud of? I dunno but it was math so it doesn't come easy to me like English and French. Oh well.. I cant wait til friday since I can give the rest of my friends their gifts, I already one of them theirs because I couldn't wait. I made my four closest friends really pretty necklaces and a TY beanie baby and then my other friends get chocolate and candy. Well I better go since mom kelly and i are going into Grimsby. I need to get some more makeup from shoppers. Tomorrow I get to wear my hot blue cowboy hat that i was wearing in the pictures last posted. I paid enough money for it at the Royal so I may as well wear it!!! Talk to you all later, and if not, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. By the way Uncle Kirk it is good to hear that your nickname has stuck..... SPONGEBOB.... send me a pic!

Hey Sponge Bob nice to see your comment, The weekend went really well for some of us poor Jess had to work all three days but that is what comes with a job. We had to get up at 5:30 Saturday morning to make sure we had showers and breakfast to be in lengthen before 8:00 to register for the tournament. The 1st game was a disaster. It showed that the kids were tired they did not play hard at all just sort of floated around the ice. The game was tied 3-3 when with 15 seconds left they New Hamburg scored to win by a score of 4 to 3 .

The second game was against the host team Langton and we won 6-4.
Sunday morning we played Delhi and won that game the Kids played like a different team and Kelly even got an assist. This put us into the championship game Sunday afternoon against New Hamburg the only Team that had beat us . We took the Kids out for a nice lunch and went back to the Arena to watch the Bronze medal game.

The Kids played a great game from the opening faceoff, a completely different team than New Hamburg saw on Sat. morning the defence helped the goalie with a shutout untill about 5 minutes left in the game. The final score was 3-1 in our favour and our team won the gold medal.

It was a good time the next tournament is in Collingwood the weekend on Jan. 7 but we have a previous commitment so will be cheering from here.....

Not much to say, had a nice time in Burks Falls was able to do some 4 wheelin in the snow on Mark's quad that was fun Kelly rode with Mark and I took the little one. Jess was able to ride Charlenes Horse Bear a couple of times so she was happy. Just about have the house back together after putting in the hardwood due to my schedule and Dale the guy helping me the last transition piece should be in tonight. Will still have to put 1\4 round in but that can wait till after the holidays.

Kelly has a hockey tournament in a small Town called Langton just outside of Simcoe this weekend so that should be fun, poor Jess has to work Fri.,Sat.,and Sunday this weekend so I assume we wont see much of her.

Well that is about it for now..........................................

Hey everyone!

I just like to see this blog updated so I may talk about something or I may talk about nothing. Well I survived my first weekend at Tim Hortons, and encountered my first rude customer. This weekend I made about nine dollars in tips. Pretty good if I do say so myself. Well this Friday I work from 5-9, on Saturday and Sunday I work from 3-11 and I can't wait. Also the Smithville Santa Parade is on Saturday and I love it! I get to watch a good 45 minutes of it before I have to work. so I will just stand by Tim Hortons so I am still at work on time! I can't wait until I get my first paycheck, Christmas shopping Galore!! It's going to be fun! My foot is still bruised but its getting better. At least it was ok for when I worked. Was walking pretty normal. Tonight the Biggest Loser is on, tomorrow I have Horseback Riding and Everwood is on, Thursday is THE OC!!! I missed it... :( ... fill me in please! And then I work for the weekend. and Monday is SCRAPBOOKING!!!!!!! :) :) :).... I love to scrapbook in case no one knew. I LOVE it. Pretty busy week for me. See what I mean? I'm just rattling on and on and on. Probably boring the heck out of yas. But hey, anything to keep people posted. Besides, you have to be loyal to these things.
Ciao for now.

GiMpY!!!!! :(

Hey everyone its Jess. As you can tell from my name I am not having a good day so far. I was playing basketball in Phys. Ed, not my best sport, and while I was trying to guard the girl on the other team, who is much smaller, I tripped and sprained my ankle. Now I'm hobbling everywhere. My friends finally told me I should go home, they were helpful. They were all trying to do everything for me like I was a helpless person. I was sooo embarassed. And it sucks because tonight I am going to check out a new riding stable to ride at so I better be ok to go. I'm going no matter what.
Last night I had horseback riding and we had to take this test called Level One Rider. She is supposed to be calling tonight with the results. I think I passed. The written part was hard. No one was in the room with us so my friend Allison and I exchanged a few answers. Normally I wouldn't cheat, but this isn't school or anything. But yeah.
Work went good... I can't wait to go back. I made a bagel. I put on pots of coffee/decaf, and tea and I made hot hocolate and cashed everyone in. I work on Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 3pm. Well I have to call for directions to get to the riding place so I will talk to y'all later.
Hope everyone catched The O.C. tonight!! I missed last weeks!! :(
Ciao for now,
Jess

We all went to a symposium on Diabetes at the Burlington Holiday inn on Saturday. There was quite a few different speakers there the one we were interested in the most was explaining the pros and cons of using an insulin pump or regular injections. Using a pump means taking a needle once every 3 days instead of after every meal and at bedtime. The cost of a pump is between 5 and 6 thousand dollars and it costs $250.00-$300.00 a month for supplies so you have to convince your group insurance it is needed.

One of the speakers was an olympic rower by the name of Chris Jarvis, he has been living with diabetes for I think he said 11 years. He is using a pump and is very happy with it. We were able to talk to him for a while and the kids had picturwes taken with him. I think he convinced us that a pump would be a good idea for Kelly we just have to choose the style she wants and the representatives will help try and convince the insurance company it is needed. This is a long process so we will just have to wait and see. I am postying a couple of pictures of the kids with Chris. Some of these girls are the ones Kelly was at camp with in the summer

We are all very proud of her

Kelly's team played in Wainfleet this afternoon and won the game by a score of 5 to 2. Kelly played a good game and again got an assist on the first goal. Jessica is looking forward to her first day at work tomorrow after a few days at work I am hoping she will be making the coffee and serving it at home as well......
Well Kelly's team played Beamsville yestrday and won 6 to 1 Kelly got another assist on the first goal she is playing pretty good right now if just she would start to throw a few checks around. She has been hit and knocked down a few times so I am sure one day she will have had enough and start to hit back...

Friday, November 11, 2005

kelly had a hockey game tonight and they won 8 to 1. One of her coaches from 2 years ago told her it was the best game he had seen her play. She got 1 assist so that is a couple for the year so far. We have another game Saturday in Smithville then play in wainfleet on Sunday so a pretty busy weekend.

It sounds like January 7 will be the date for Christmas dinner here so now we can start planning.

My friend Allison and I

Bailey and I before the show

Hey guys this is Jess here,

Just wanted to say hey now that I know how to put these things on my dad's blog. Nothing new really happening. I still haven't got a hold of the manager of Tim Hortons that called me, so I am supposed to call and talk to her on Tuesday. I'm headed to the Royal Agriculteral Winter Fair this Thursday with Aunt Haydee, Nan, my good friend Shellby and possibly a friend of my Nan's. We are hoping to catch the big horse show in the evening so hopefully it isn't to late to get tickets. You should see how everyone dresses for this show..... ball gowns, tuxes.... it's a pretty big event. Oh and I can't forget the famous potatoe rosti and apple dumplings.... something we look forward to each year. Oh and we also get a day and a half off school. School is going good, I"m keeping up my marks. Babysitting has been good lately, everyone has been calling..... there are times when it's slow and times when its fast. I've posted some pictures of my horse show I was in on Labour Day weekend at the Smithville fair. I'm in 4H so I had to go in it to get a certificate or something so it was fun. I came in second and it was my first show. I used a horse named Shandorah and my friend Allison from riding came and cheered me on. My other friend Shellby was supposed to be in it but she had to work. Her sister was in it though, who came in fifth with a pony named "You Can't Make Me". Yah that made her feel better. Anyways I'm off to go do some scrapbooking. I'm really into that.. something you need money for so I'm pretty much just borrowing everyone else's tools until I can get my own. Hopefully for Christmas. I'm giving my mom a wishlist.. hehe. Talk to you all later.

Ciao for now,

~*Love Jess*~

Well Nibbler's
funeral was held today at around noon in the back end of the Smithville fairgrounds by the fence for the rail way tracks she was laid to rest under a tree a very nice spot out of the way of regular pedestrian traffic so hopefully she wont be disturbed. Besides myself and Jeannine Marley was able to attend Jessica watched from a distance ,It was a very nice but short service with Kelly being the only one to offer a eulogy but Mom did slip a personal note in as well. Last night Kelly got a new hamster a little teddy bear that she named butterball because of the colour so she is feeling a little better today.

Kelly had a hockey game in Fonthill today where her team came out on the wrong end of a 4-3 final score. Tomorrow she will be attending a checking clinic in the afternoon.

Jessica got a call to set up an interview for Tim Hortons so hopefully she cabn start working soon, she is very exited as she knows quite a few of the girls that work there already.

Friday, November 04, 2005

It was a sad day for Kelly, yesterday her pet hamster Nibbler passed away. It was totally unexpected there was no indication that Nibbler was even sick she was just her playfull self no nagging cough or breathing troubles that we could notice she just seemed to drift away in her sleep. She is resting in the garage for today in a box purchased just for her and the internment will take place tomorrow afternoon in the Smithville fairgrounds. Please instead of sending flowers just type your condolence message to Kelly in the comment section to let her know you feel for her loss.

If this works these are pictures from Thanksgiving weekend when we went camping with some friends to Turkey Point on Lake Erie. We had heard about garbage can turkey so after going on the net found a recipe to use. These are the results and it really turned out moist and tasty and only took 2 hours and about 15 minutes to cook.
It looks like the 10th is gaining on the 17th for Christmas I am already off that weekend but have made it clear to my boss that he owes me and I want the 17th off. Either way we will be up north for the Traviss family Christmas the other wekend.
